
Entries are invited for the First International Film Festival on Child Rights being organized by the media wing of the Association for Promotion and Protection of Child Rights in India (APProCH), CFS in CFS in collaboration with the Oriental Film Institute at Kozhikode, Kerala, India on 5th May, 2017.The objective is to encourage the production of Child Rights based films. Another objective is to make available videos suitable for use in awareness classes and other activities aimed at promoting Child Rights. Entries can be short films in any language from any country. English subtitles are essential. Films already uploaded in social media can also be considered as entries if their hyper links are sent.

Individuals are free to submit any number of entries but each entry must come with separate entry form. Recently produced (2012 to 17) videos likeFeature Films , Documentary , Music Album ,Animations Etc..based on child rights,which run less than 5 minutes including front and back credits could be send to the film fest.
For entries from outside India, an invoice showing ‘No value (for cultural purpose only)’ should be included.
Each entry must be the original work of the entrant and shall not infringe on any copyright or any other right of any other individual, institution or organization. It is the responsibility of the entrant to obtain all necessary agreements and permissions regarding all contents like actors, story, music, sound or images well in advance.
Each entrant agrees that the Organizers will not be held liable for any copyright infringements perpetrated by him/her or his/her short films.
The Organizers reserve the right not to screen any film(s) for any reason they deem valid and their decision shall be final.
The organizers are not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, postage due, stolen, or misappropriated entries.

This Film festival is only for short films of less than 5 minutes, based on issues related to child rights . It is being organized by APProCH India & its media division Children’s Film Society in Child Friendly Schools, in collaboration with Oriental Film school ,Kozhikode, Kerala.

PRIZE STRUCTURE
Best film Award: :Rs. 10, 000/- in cash + Trophy + Certificate
Three Runner up Awards : Rs. 2,000/- in cash + Certificate to each, and Special Jury awards.
GUIDELINES FOR SENDING IN ENTRIES
1. The digital file or hyper link of your short films published in social media shall be considered as your entry. But if your film is shortlisted you should submit 2 DVD copies of the same which should be at actual resolution for projection.All films must be submitted encoded in industry standard video formats or MPEG. Entries that are of unrecognized video formats shall not be considered.
2. Properly filled up entry form with synopsis must be submitted.
3. A photo and Bio-data of the director and producer must be sent to us.
4. Posters or Film Stills also must be submitted.
Only 20 selected entries screened by the jury will be screened during the festival and the screening will be solely on the discretion of the jury.
Entries may be in any language but suitable on-screen English subtitles must be furnished.
Physical presence of the applicant is not mandatory.
The subject/theme for the competition is ‘Child Rights’
The film cannot exceed a total of 5 minutes running time, including the title cards and the credits.
Entry form,short synopsis, complete list of the cast and the crew of the entry printed or written in A4 size paper should be enclosed.
Soft copies of the films and the required documents etc.. may either be sent ONLINE to fffrancypd@gmail.com or by sharing the hyperlink of the same published in social media with permission to include the film in this festival.

Entries are to be received by Children,s Film Society in CFS on or before 25th April, 2017. Those lacking in any of the requirements specified above will be excluded from the shortlisted entries submitted to the Jury and from screening during the festival.
